As you may have noticed, we haven't been as active lately. That's because we've been totally immersed in our residency at Oklahoma Contemporary Studio School. Here's what we've been making:

Dylan:

Dylan is creating a sculpture garden outside of Studio School. They are bringing life to a formerly empty gravel, placing several large ceramic heads to make a crowd. They are rearranging the installation and making new heads all the time. Come by Oklahoma Contemporary and check it out!

Isa:

Isa has also been hard at work in the ceramics studio. They are making a series of carved skulls that invoke traditional Wayuu burial rituals in Venezuela.
They also just got this gorgeous bat bottle out of the soda kiln! This piece is part of a series depicting animals that are native to both Venezuela and the United States. These animals often play important roles in Wayuu spirituality.
