Hello, practice people!
Last week, we got real about recognizing good ideas. This week is all about committing to them. For all our creative babes with commitment issues—this one is for you!
What is commitment, anyway?
Commitment is essentially a decision. If you struggle with making choices, you probably also struggle to make commitments. That's alright! We can help with that.

Choosing to Commit
Commitment means choosing your project over other things. That's intimidating! But you don't have to go all-in right off the bat. First, break down what the idea really requires from you.
1. Evaluate Your Resources. Answer these questions:
- What materials and tools do you need?
- Can you do this project on your own, or do you need to collaborate?
- How much time can you commit each day, each week, or each month?
- How much money will it cost?
You may not have everything you need right now, but that's okay! You can make small changes that will give you more resources. Can you work fewer hours at your job to create more time? Can work more hours to save money for your idea? What other solutions can you imagine?
Ideally, what steps would you take to do the project? What would you need to do? Make a list. Plan everything as if you were going to do the project, even though you might not commit.
Make a mini-version of your idea. This can be a sketch, a mock-up, a written description, or a small version of your project. This will help you envision the results you could get if you commit. You will learn valuable info that can help you decide if you want to keep pursuing it.
Regardless of whether you commit or not, following these three steps will help you build the stamina for making decisions about your ideas and projects.
