Hello, practice people!
This week, we're talking about recognizing good ideas. If you're anything like us, you've got sketchbooks, notes-apps, sticky notes all over the place and a throbbing skull full of great ideas just waiting to be realized!
What do you do if you have an abundance of ideas, but limited time and resources? How do you know which of your brilliant schemes you should commit to?

Our favorite sticky notes for important ideas come from Goodbye Press in Chicago.

4 Signs You've Got a Good Idea:
- You can't stop thinking about it. If you find yourself thinking about an idea every time your mind wanders, its a good sign. You might be a little obsessed with it. Maybe you talk about it to anyone who will listen. If an idea is keeping you awake at night, its time to take action!
- You've had the same idea more than once. If you put an idea on the back burner, but it keeps coming up, then you should probably pursue it. Pro tip: If there's an idea that you aren't sure about, shelve it for now, and pursue it if it pops up again.
- It would be easy or simple to do. If your idea is simple and doesn't take much time or effort, go ahead and try it! A small, "easy" idea can grow into your best work. KISS: Keep it simple, smarty-pants!
- Against all odds, your gut says YES. Maybe your idea is a little weird or even totally "out there"...but you have a strong gut feeling about it. People try to talk you out of it, but your intuition still says "GO FOR IT!" So what if it's weird? Interesting ideas usually are! You've got to trust yourself on this one!

And last, but not least: when you think you're onto something, give it a shot! There's no way to know for sure until you try it! We will talk about committing to your great new idea in our next newsletter.
